iBizard Help - Custom Web Pages

1. What are Custom Web Pages

  • We say our goal is to empower our users to conduct business their way, in their own time and without having to rely on anyone else. This is why we have created our custom web pages. With our custom web pages, you will be able to create up to 5 web pages, which you can link to from your own site, from your other iBizard pages, or if you already have your own domain name, you can even direct your own domain name to one of these pages, and your visitors will be automatically and seamlessly directed to your customized iBizard page.
  • We have also given you the ability to customize many aspects of your custom web page. We have opened up the logo sections, the banner section, the left navigation column, the right navigation column and of course the main body of the web page. You can use our easy to use editor, to create HTML content if you are familiar with HTML or use the many tools available in our editor to create content, different fonts, colors, sizes, shapes and designs even if you are not familiar with HTML.
  • We have also created a Building Blocks Wizard, which will allow you to create text and image blocks with different background colors, border colors and border width. Look for our Building Blocks Wizard in our editor tool bar.

2. Quick Steps To Creating A Kick-You-Know-What Web Page

  • Name Your Web Page: Click 'Create Custom Pages' from the Custom Pages Menu. You will see a screen asking you to enter the name of your new web page. Create a name consisting of letters, numbers and special characters dash(-) and underscore(_). Do not use spaces or any other special characters. Our system will convert all names to lower case. The web is case sensitive, and upper case letters are not used.
  • Choose Your Template: Once you enter a valid web page name, you will be taken to the Template wizard. Here you can choose from one of our predefined templates. Flip through our pages by clicking on the page # on top of the template gallery and choose a template that fits your needs. Alternatively you can choose your own colors and design your own web page. Click on 'Choose My Own Colors' and our wizard will let you choose a header color, a body color and a footer color. You will see these three sections in a small icon of the web page and you can click on 'Preview' to get an idea of how all colors play out with each other. You can select the same color for all three sections if you wish to create a web page with a uniform color, or mix and match colors to differentiate between the different sections of the web page.
  • Edit Content: Once your web page is created, click on 'View/Edit Custom Pages'. Here you will be able to edit various aspects of your web page. Let's talk about editing the content of your web page. Click on 'Edit Content' and our wizard will take you to our customization screen where you will be able to further design your web page with logos, logo backgrounds and create content which will fill different sections of your web site like the left navigation column, banner section, main body and right navigation column.

  • Edit Page Title & Meta Tags: Within the 'View/Edit Custom Pages' menu, click on 'Edit Title & Meta Tags' to give your page a title and customize your meta tags. This is an important step to open up your page to be indexed by various search engines and further pin down your Search Engine Optimization.
  • Enjoy Your New Page: Your new page will have an iBizard URL, as it is hosted on our servers. The url will look like 'http://www.ibizard.com/sites/YOUR_IBIZARD_SUBDOMAIN/YOUR_CUSTOM_PAGE_NAME.php'. You can use this url as it is, or you can link to this url from any of your existing iBizard web pages, or even a web site/page hosted on any other system. Please see View & Link section below.
 

3. View & Link To Your iBizard Custom Web Pages

  • Your custom pages will have an iBizard URL which will look like this:
    http://www.ibizard.com/sites/YOUR_IBIZARD_SUBDOMAIN_NAME/YOUR_CUSTOM_PAGE_NAME.php
  • You can use this url as it is to link to it from anywhere on the web. To link to the above page, here is the HTML code:
  • Replace YOUR_IBIZARD_SUBDOMAIN_NAME & YOUR_CUSTOM_PAGE_NAME above with the appropriate values and copy and paste the HTML code above into any page on iBizard or on the web to link to your pages.
  • You can find the exact URL for your page under the 'What are my URLs?' in the Custom Pages Menu. In this section you will see code next to each one of your web pages, which you can copy and paste to link to that page. All you have to do is replace the 'Click Here' text with whatever you want your link to say.
  • If you already have a domain name you have purchased through a company such as GoDaddy or Network Solutions, you can direct that domain name to your iBizard page. That way when your customers type in that domain name they will be automatically and seamlessly directed to your iBizard page. This is transparent to the end user, and gives you the ability to have a web address which is more fitting to your business, and easier for your visitors to remember.
